Introductions

I think the first thing that is important to admit is that our family has tried to start a blog before. Back when we were not a family, merely a couple about to be married. I do think that it's important to note that I was not the sole author of that blog - in fact, not even really responsible for it.

This guy was:

This is my dear husband Arna. He started a little something called, "Burg After Meeting." Which was supposed to chronicle our adventures in a small southeastern Kansas town where he moved to be with me. This lasted three entries and was primarily comprised of the scores of our tennis matches.

He is a writer, and currently working on his MFA. Arna and I have always had a saying with each other, "partners in adventure." It was how we committed to most of the decisions in our lives. Moving, getting married, me following him to graduate school and now I am starting this blog in hopes of giving our family a little closer access to our newest adventure together:

Our little baby who is due to arrive on October 23rd!

Which means I now look like this:

Kind of big for 12 weeks, but I promise there's only one in there.

The introductions would not be complete without the mentionging of our little cat, Gracie, who is a wonderful companion. She constantly doubts her ability to do most cat-like things. Pouncing, jumping, stalking, etc. Just while writing this, she took several practice jumps before trying to balance her chubby little self in the shallow open window. Her feelings about the new baby are as follows:

That's it - our little family. Now on to the real entries!
