It came in the mail and I tried it on. It fit the way it was supposed to and now it hangs in my closet waiting for a baby to put in it :-)
The next thing that we bought was for my comfort and not really for the baby. At this point, I'm not supposed to be sleeping on my stomach and that is how I used to sleep. So, we bought this:
And that goofy grin on the model's face is very close to the expression that I make when I lay in it. It is amazingly comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone even if they're not pregnant. The only downside is that it's HUGE and leaves Arna about 12 inches of bed. He's started to adjust though. The other morning when I woke up before him, he had curled around the right side of it, spooning with the pillow the way he used to spoon me before we had a giant fluffy barrier between us all night.
Arna started cleaning out the side bedroom that we mostly used for storage up until now. It's perfect for the baby. Too small to be an adult's room but it's plenty big enough for a crib and changing table. I can't wait until we find out the gender and can start decorating it! Arna and I are thinking we'll hang a few of the pictures I've painted over the years. Including a portrait of us. You can see those on the floor, right next to the stack of children's books that we've acculumated so far.
I've had a cold this week and to help me feel better we bought a humidifier. Standing in the aisle at Target, there were so many to choose from. Warm mist, cold mist, ultra-sonic, 360 action...It was kind of ridiculous. So we did what made the most sense, we picked the one that would look cutest in the nursery, since that's most likely where it will end up once I'm done using it.
What a cute little guy, huh? The vapor comes out of its trunk. Between it and the new pillow - I've slept like a dream the past few nights.
Things are definitely changing around here. Gracie's even on board. The other morning while she was sleeping on my ever shrinking lap, she stretched out and snuggled my belly. No doubt she thinks the bump is there to be a pillow for her - I can't imagine how she'll react the first time she's on my lap and the baby kicks!
