Guacamole and G-day

On Wednesday, Arna decided that he NEEDED guacamole. We went to the Farmer's Market to get some from a local Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately, they had raised their prices by a dollar since last week, and Arna wasn't willing to support "price gauging."

The hunt was on.

We went the the local co-op and searched the store for guacamole. I happened upon some free samples of pesto and bread and that I went to town on, while Arna sighed his way up and down the aisles. We did find some, but it was even MORE expensive than the Farmer's Market.

Next stop was to Hy-Vee. (For the second time that day. We had gone an hour earlier for chips in anticipation of the guac).  They did not have any ready-made guacamole that we could find. They did have avocados and a mix. The total cost of which was more than the tub at the Farmer's Market. I pointed this out to Arna and he told me I wasn't being helpful, so I let him do his thing.

He grabbed some avocados and the mix and we proceeded to the check out. Even though we had gotten into a different checker's lane, our previous checker invited us to her's and said, "Haven't I seen you two before?"

Needless to say we were a bit embarrassed. Anyway, the guacamole was made and Arna was happy. Though, I thought I was the one who was supposed to have the cravings. Not him :-)

On another note, we had our monthly doctor's appointment. They took my blood and I noticed for the first time that the tourniquets are scented like vanilla. A cruel thing to do to pregnant women. I immediately craved ice cream.

We also found out that we will be having our anatomy ultrasound on June 6th. We have a G-day! Get ready for it folks! Gender predictions are welcome in the comments.
