Spring and Strangers

The flowers around our home have begun to bloom. I cannot take credit for their beauty - anyone who knows me will say that I am NOT an outdoorsy girl. I hate bugs and prefer to have a clean thumb rather than a green one. They were planted by a previous dweller and manage to be pretty resiliant, despite having no help from us:

Also something cool: there is a groundhog that lives in the yard of the law firm where I work. Most of us thought that it was a lone bachelor because we only ever saw one, and then the other day much to our surprise, five little furry testaments to the groundhog's womanhood came scurrying out of her burrow!
I managed to snap a quick picture of a couple of them playing:

Also at work, clients have begun to comment on my pregnancy. I have never been brave enough to say anything to a swollen-bellied female stranger but other people seem perfectly comfortable doing it. I don't really mind. It's kind of nice, but every time it startles me.

The other day, I ordered some Italian takeout for lunch and as I was signing for my food the delivery man asked, "Boy or girl?" It took me a moment to realize he meant the baby. I told him I didn't know yet. "It's a boy." He told me matter-of-factly before handing me my receipt and bag of deliciousness.

This weekend we are traveling to our hometown to see our family and to attend the wedding of one of my sorority sister's!  It'll be the first wedding that Arna and I will attend as a married couple. I know it's cheesy, but I'm really excited. I think it'll be different than it was before. I'm sure I'll cry - lots. Bring on the waterproof mascara!
