Six months!

Our darling little Bluma has been filling our lives with joy for six whole months now. This past week and a half was one of the hardest since she was a newborn. We're finally feeling better but her sleep schedule is still all wacky. In the last few days Bluma has started rolling much more, though she still gets frustrated sometimes and gives up. She's also continuing to babble away. She's a very chatty baby. Ocassionally, she'll try to pull herself up on her knees. And then there's this: She puts her arms in the air and says "Mum!" I'm not sure if she thinks that "mum" means up. I say "up!" every time she does it. I'm also working on some simple gestures like pointing to her mouth when she's hungry, waving and putting her hands palm out toward me when she's done eating her solids. Speaking of solids, she tried apples recently and likes them quite a bit. We bought a food processor so I'm thinking if pureeing some broccoli or green beans for her next. We'll she what she thinks! In non-Bluma news, this month was exciting for Arna as well. He signed a contract with Sarabande Books to have a short story collection published. It's wonderful to see him having success.
